Who we are

Watkins Therapy Group is a collection of qualified counsellors and coaches from all over Australia. Watkins Therapy Group offers variety of supports both in-person and online an often offers worksheets, tools and products to support yourself at home. These tools are not a replacement for Counselling, Coaching or other forms of mental health therapy and should be used as supplements. Any comments that are deemed inappropriate will be removed from any website or social media account linked to Watkins Therapy Group.

Cookies

Who do we share your data with

Your data is kept private and confidential as per this privacy policy and the privacy requirements of our governing bodies, PACFA & ACA.

All of our counsellors are qualified and registered members of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) or the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Watkins Therapy Group takes Client confidentiality very seriously, adhering to a strict code of ethics, this is no different when handling online transactions.

Your personal information can only be shared under strict conditions. A Counsellor or Coach is legally obligated to report anything that poses a threat to your well-being (including physical or emotional abuse) or harm/danger to others. All therapeutic notes are confidential and secured under the rules outlined by PACFA, ACA and the Australian Government. These notes can only be released with your written/verbal permission or if subpoenaed by an Australian court.

Counsellors are also expected to regularly seek supervision from other highly qualified therapists. Although case details might be discussed, the Client’s identities remain protected and are never shared. This supervision process is a requirement of registration with PACFA and ACA and is in place to help improve the skills of the therapist.

This same level of privacy is maintained with your data when purchasing any other product/s from the Watkins Therapy Group website.

If you have an account on the Watkins Therapy Group website and you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (www.watkinstherapygroup.com.au), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you purchase a product that includes a coaching or counselling session with a member of the Watkins Therapy Group team, additional data will be collected in an Intake form and/or Service agreement. This information collected will remain private and is covered by the Ts & Cs and Privacy Policy which can be found at www.watkinstherapygroup.com.au.

What rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. This does not include comments left on our social media pages.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments, contact forms and emails may be checked through an automated spam detection service and all purchase data is emailed directly to the Admin and Intake team at Watkins Therapy Group and is managed as per this privacy policy and the Ts & Cs of Watkins Therapy Group.
