About Watkins Therapy Group
Meeting you where you are at, Australia-wideGetting Started with Watkins Therapy Group
At WTG, we believe that the right support can change everything. Founded by me, Benjamin Watkins, we exist to make counselling accessible, personal and effective, no matter where you are across Australia.
Whether you’re in Frankston, Mt Eliza, McCrae, or somewhere regional or remote, our skilled counsellors are ready to help, in-person, via phone or online.
Our Purpose
Counselling works when the fit is right. That’s why we emphasise being client-centred, not one-size-fits-all.
We provide:
- A diverse range of counselling approaches (CBT, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, etc.)
- Choice and flexibility, you pick the therapist, or we help you match
- A commitment to you: if the first counsellor isn’t the right fit, we’ll help you find a better one, even if it means referring externally
Why Counselling Matters
Counselling isn’t just about getting through a rough patch; it’s about growth, resilience, and building a richer, more fulfilling life. It’s a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with who you are and where you want to be.
At Watkins Therapy Group, we see counselling as a partnership. You bring your story; we bring professional support, curiosity, and care to help you make sense of life’s challenges and create real, lasting change.
Here’s how it helps:
- Expert guidance – Our counsellors use evidence-based approaches to help you understand your emotions, manage unhelpful patterns, and navigate major life transitions with clarity and confidence.
- Confidential space – Every session is a safe, judgment-free environment where you can talk openly, think out loud, and be heard, often the first step toward healing.
- Tailored approach – There’s no one-size-fits-all in therapy. Each session is crafted around your personal goals, pace and personality, so it feels authentic and achievable.
- Practical skill-building – Counselling gives you tools you can use every day, for better communication, emotional regulation, stress management and self-care, so you’re not just coping, but thriving.
- Long-term benefits – The impact of counselling doesn’t end when the session does. You’ll gain insight, resilience, and confidence that support lasting wellbeing across your relationships, work and personal life.
- Support when you need it most – Whether it’s a difficult season, a moment of change, or a new beginning, counselling helps you move forward with strength and self-understanding.
At WTG, we believe that with the right support, anyone can learn, grow, and heal, and that every step forward, no matter how small, is progress worth celebrating.
